Comporta has a new meeting point: Mercearia Pachecas Comporta

The momentum surrounding the city of Lisbon has now reached one of the most highly sought-after summer destinations.

Lisbon, August 6, 2026 – There are destinations experienced through the beach, gatherings with family and friends, and the dining table. Comporta now has a new meeting point designed to connect these moments. Named Mercearia Pachecas Comporta, it represents the brand's first expansion outside Lisbon, bringing a concept that blends dining, grocery, and hospitality to one of the country's most desirable destinations in a relaxed, informal experience designed for any time of day.

Located in the iconic Loja Caju, Mercearia Pachecas Comporta is born from the convergence of two brands sharing the same vision of authenticity, curation, and proximity. More than a new opening, this space is designed to naturally integrate into the rhythm of Comporta: a place where guests want to linger, whether for a leisurely breakfast, a coffee before the beach, a light lunch, a takeaway meal, a late afternoon snack, or an extended dinner among friends. Adapted to the spirit of the region yet faithful to the DNA of Mercearia Pachecas, this new space establishes itself as a hybrid, flexible, and contemporary concept, designed for residents, visitors, and tourists year-round.

The gastronomic offering adapts to different moments of the day, emphasizing a versatile, uncomplicated menu designed for various occasions. At breakfast, highlights include suggestions such as Iberian scrambled eggs, avocado toast with salmon and egg, the açaí bowl, and pancakes.

For a bite after a day at the beach, the menu includes options such as beetroot hummus, burrata, Comporta-style shrimp, tuna tartare, fig and goat cheese salad, Caesar salad, the signature steak sandwich from O Pub Lisboeta, and mortadella focaccia. The meal always ends on a high note with the cake of the day, crafted by Joana Reymão Nogueira.

For those who prefer to take their meal to the beach, for a picnic, or simply to enjoy Comporta at their own pace, the croquettes, savory pastries, salads, and sandwiches are excellent choices. Furthermore, the entire menu is available for takeaway, ensuring the experience accompanies clients wherever they go.

Also noteworthy are the 'Bitas' ready-meals and sweets by Joana Reymão Nogueira, available in the freezer section, ready to take home.

The space, with architectural design by Magari Studio—also responsible for the Mercearia Pachecas and Pub Lisboeta projects—extends the experience to an outdoor patio that invites guests to stay. Among the prominent features is an artistic intervention by painter Rita Zilhão, whose work, inspired by the lightness of summer and the connection to the sea, reinforces the relaxed and luminous identity of the space.

The experience extends beyond gastronomy. During July and August, the afternoons gain a new soundtrack with DJ sets on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays, transforming Mercearia Pachecas Comporta into a central meeting point to celebrate the region's characteristic late afternoons.

This opening marks a new chapter in the history of Mercearia Pachecas. After consolidating the concept in Lisbon, the brand selects Comporta for its first national expansion, reinforcing its ambition to grow through spaces that respect the identity of each destination and become part of local life.

This venture also translates into a positive impact on the community, creating eight new jobs and establishing protocols with local social solidarity institutions (IPSS) for the donation of surplus food.

A brand that aligns with how people live

Mercearia Pachecas was born from the desire to create places where people want to be. More than a grocery store or a restaurant, it presents a concept that follows the rhythm of people throughout the day, combining dining, curated products, and a welcoming atmosphere where proximity, authenticity, and quality are key.

With investment from Ó Capital, a Portuguese family office dedicated to the investment and development of SMEs, Mercearia Pachecas continues to establish itself as a Portuguese brand growing organically, bringing a contemporary vision of hospitality to new destinations: creating spaces where people return not just for what they eat, but above all for how they feel.
