Ó Capital launches Ó Studio: A Scale-Up Platform dedicated to the creative industry and corporate communication in Portugal

It launches with €2 million already invested, five portfolio companies, over 100 clients, and an aggregate revenue projected to approach €4 million by 2026.

Lisbon, July 21, 2026 — The creative industry and corporate communication market in Portugal features a new management and investment model: created by Ó Capital, Ó Studio is the country’s first Scale-Up Platform in the sector, established to challenge traditional agency growth models by investing in businesses with proven business models, strengthening their operational structure, and accelerating their development.

More than an investor, Ó Studio acts as a growth partner. It takes equity stakes, works side-by-side with founders, and provides each portfolio company with a shared management, technology, and operations framework designed to accelerate growth and lay the groundwork for future development stages—whether through institutional investment or consolidation with strategic sector partners.

The project launches with a cumulative investment of approximately €2 million, an aggregated revenue forecast close to €4 million for 2026, a portfolio of over 100 clients — including Pestana Group, DS Group, Prosegur, Hey Doc, Garcias, and HUG Lusíadas Home Care — and a team of around 35 professionals.

Founded by a group of entrepreneurs experienced in SME management, creativity, and brand building — Sara do Ó, Mariana Bordalo, and Maria Cordeiro (Ó Capital), Rui Amorim, Miguel Sousa Morais, Tomaz Castelão, Nico Mello, José Brízida, and Bernardo Pita — Ó Studio combines the financial power of a family office with the hands-on operational support of those who understand the inner workings of business. By strengthening each portfolio company, it also enables top talent and teams to grow together, leveraging greater scale, shared resources, and responsiveness without sacrificing each business's autonomy, identity, and culture.

The story of Ó Studio began with an investment opportunity that quickly revealed greater potential. Two of the current founders simultaneously expressed interest in investing in the creative duo Tomaz Castelão and Nico Mello, who founded Pato Bravo Creative Studio in 2024 — an unconventional agency promoting a work-life balance culture, built in the image of the company the creatives themselves wanted to work for. Instead of going their separate ways, they decided to join forces and turn this investment into a more ambitious project.

This convergence gave birth to Ó Studio, which now comprises five complementary companies and aims to establish itself among the largest communication groups in Portugal by 2030.

Together, these companies operate in an integrated manner to deliver tangible value to clients, supported by a shared technological infrastructure across the group. Born in the digital era, Ó Studio leverages artificial intelligence tools to automate repetitive tasks, allowing teams to focus more time on what drives true value for clients: strategy, creativity, and execution.

With a defined growth horizon up to 2030, Ó Studio will continue to invest in integrating high-performing companies and teams that enhance the ecosystem's complementary nature in areas such as production, audiovisual, events, public relations, influence, and technology applied to brands. The ambition is to build a community of creators, strategists, and brand builders — Club of Creators, Strategists and Builders — united by a shared vision of growth and excellence.

According to Tomaz Castelão, co-founder of Ó Studio: "Great creatives are rarely great managers. And good managers are not always the most creative. At Ó Studio, we all come together to find common ground: how to run great creative companies without making them dull or unprofitable? We realized that the pain points of some are the strengths of others, and today, we can bring EBITDA and creativity into the same conversation."

Sara do Ó, Founder and CEO of Ó Capital, states: "Over the years, we have noticed that many SMEs get caught up in the day-to-day operational routine and end up postponing key strategic decisions for their growth, from brand investment to reinforcing management, technology, or business development. This reality is precisely what inspired the name Rame-Rame and the methodology it developed to help companies break out of that cycle. At Ó Studio, we take that step alongside our portfolio companies: we invest, professionalize management, strengthen operational capacity, and provide a multidisciplinary structure that allows them to scale with greater efficiency without losing the identity that sets them apart."

The ecosystem launches with a cross-functional structure distributed across five complementary companies — including Boost, specialized in growth & performance, founded by José Brízida and Bernardo Pita —, covering the primary needs of today’s market.

“Ó Studio was born out of a shared desire among all founders: to grow the Portuguese business landscape. We combined capital, operations, and creativity into the same ecosystem because we believe SMEs have the talent to compete at the highest level; what they lack is the system to prove it. That is where Boost comes in. We bring know-how from the international market, particularly North America, to empower domestic companies, aligning experience, data, and strategy so that communication has a direct impact on sales. It is not about growing by luck, it is about growing by design. That is the boost,” says José Brízida, co-founder of Boost and shareholder of Ó Studio.
